Tears in Heaven - In memory of Hazel

I wish I didn't have to find out the truth but I guess Hazel wants me to, so that G and I can stop searching, so that we can move on. Hazel decided that last night will be the night for us to know. To know that she has gone to heaven.

I was on my way home after the night search when I saw Uncle Y and Indra in a discussion. Next to them was a young cat who appeared to be injured. The cat couldn't even stand. We think she may have been hit by a vehicle. Other than not being able to stand, she looked quite fine. Funny thing was, the cat was staring in a particular direction throughout and I decided to find out what she was staring at. She was looking at the cleaner. I gasped. I ran to him and showed him Hazel's lovely pics and asked if he knew what happened. After thinking for a while, he mentioned a cat died at the TV repair shop (near Hazel's hangout) 3 days ago. The cat looked like Hazel. My heart sank with a speed you cannot imagine. He took a second look and said "Look like this one. They (the TV repair shop) asked me to take the body but I never. Under TV." The timing fits. My heart crashed to the bottom with a loud thud, I felt it almost stop beating.

At that point, I could no longer control my emotions. I burst out crying. I apologised to Indra in between sobs and tears and excused myself. I stood at a corner to cry my heart out. I later called G to break her the news. I knew that G would be a hundred times sadder than me. She was Hazel's main caregiver. At 1.35am, G text me "am crying my heart out for Hazel...she was such an affectionate girl..." I started crying again.

I felt somehow that all these has been arranged by Hazel.

I always say that Hazel is too beautiful and sweet to be living a life as a stray. Maybe heaven agreed and decided to adopt her.

As for the injured cat, Indra will bring her home.

Hazel lives in our hearts forever.

Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same if I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on,
'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven.

Would you hold my hand if I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand if I saw you in heaven?
I'll find my way through night and day,
'Cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven.

Time can bring you down,
time can bend your knees.
Time can break your heart,
have you begging please,
begging please.

Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure,
And I know there'll be no more
tears in heaven.

Rest in peace Hazel. You'll be missed dearly.

Celeste, I'm sorry you have to face the death of another dear kitty in such a short span of time. Let's hope that Hazel's suffering ends and may she have a better next life.

Take care, and be strong.

Oh goodness. How sad...

All of us here offer to you our sympathies in this time of loss. Hazel has not gone far, though, as her spirit will always be near you. I am sure that she is grateful for the love and care you provided for her and will patiently wait for you future reuniting.

Celeste, Hazel has moved to a better place where she can sleep where she wants, eat what she wants and play with whoever she wants. There'll be no more pain and suffering for her.

But we know that she'll come back to vist sometimes when she is free. I know cause I still can see my Oreo sitting on his favourite shelf calling out softly to me sometimes.

You know what, I think they're still here around us but from now on, they'll only feel happiness.
